== Series "Spirit" ==
The GT Challenge is a series of roll-a-car-class races designed to replicate the lineups of different Gran Turismo race series. That is, if you entered eg. the FF challenge in Gran Turismo, you would expect to find the usuals like a Toyota Yaris, a Mitsubishi FTO, a Honda Accord and probably something like a Peugeot 206.

The car packs are tested and curated and fairly even in performance, but that's all. Just like Gran Turismo, some are better than others simply because I will not spend weeks balancing on horsepower and weight. You must deal with this as an entrant.

The packs are balanced by driving laps around two representative tracks which I will decide on later. One kinda quick and one more technical so balance is well revealed.

The packs range from the aforementioned FF cup to full race cars. Pack size may vary, but kept rather small to avoid too much balancing work (for me).

Ensure you have added RBDK as a Rockstar Social Club friend, see the ID in the Google Doc. If you don't know how to do that or where to ask you have been filtered.

Before the start of the rally the server will be set up as invite only. RBDK as the host will invite all drivers.

West Rally 2026 will be run in a private session of GTA Online with all contestants in the same lobby. The rally will NOT be run as a GTA race, but rather as simply a free roam event. This is to ensure the "real" rally experience driving from stage to stage and retaining damage picked up earlier.

I recommend you set your phone up such it doesn't turn off its display until after 10 minutes, and then use the stopwatch app. My method is start the timer, and as it hits 5 seconds you set off. This gives you a little countdown to set off to, and you simply subtract 5 seconds from the time as you stop the timer.

All performance mods are allowed EXCEPT armor and bullet proof tires. Your car MUST be without armor and bullet proof tires. If I suspect your car is in fact armored, I will crash/pistol test it and decide if I think you are cheating or not.

Any weapons related mods are also prohibited.

Any damage sustained to a vehicle is kept until the service points before stage 4 and stage 11. ONLY at these points (and before starting the rally) may a driver repair the car with Los Santos Customs or by spawning in the car using the mechanic. In other words if you break your car on stage 5, you're stuck with it for stage 6 through 10 as well.

If the car is "destroyed" (you need insurance to get a new one) you are retired until the next service point. If you destroy the car after the last service point, you are DNF.

Keep this in mind when choosing your car.
