SERIES INFO
OVGCaterham is our weekly Sunday series in Automobilista using the Reiza Caterham Superlight organized by Reddit Danmark
OVGCaterham is a low stakes series, with 3 short 15 minute races on shorter tracks. Aimed at being beginner friendly, it's the perfect opportunity to start racing with /ovg/

GAME DOWNLOAD
You can download the game on the OVGCaterham Google Doc.
GAME SETUP
If this is your first time playing AMS1, first launch AMS Config.exe and set your screen resolution, refresh rate, video settings etc. Then press OK and launch the game with AMS.exe
Inside the game, press the cog icon on the top right, and set your binds for wheel/controller. You won't need more than basic car controls for this series. The cars do allow for onboard adjustment of brake bias.
If the FFB feels odd while driving you can reverse it in Settings -> Controls -> Settings and moving the FFB slider in the opposite direction.
I OWN THE GAME BUT I CAN'T DRIVE THE CARS
On the MEGA there is a download for the CreamAPI DLC Unlocker that you drop in the AMS Directory on your Steam Install.
Alternatively buy the Brit Pack DLC, or use the LITE COPY. I've personally used CreamAPI for years without any issues
CARS
We will be using the Caterham Superlights that is official Reiza content. When joining the server you can choose to drive the Sequential or H-Pattern shifter model. I'd advice blipping the throttle on downshifts, this can also be enabled as an assist in-game
BUT MOMMY I CAN'T DRIVE A RIGHT HANDED CAR
I gotchu babe. When joining the server you can select your cockpit preference
TRACKS
OVGCaterham consists of 5 race race weeks using the following tracks
Lime Rock Park
Mantorp Park
Ring Djursland
Ribeirao Preto 2010
Ring Knutstorp
Lap times estimated to be around 1-1.30 minutes to ensure close racing
VR Support
Included in the pirate copy there is also a zip file with the VR beta from CrewChief It uses SteamVR so if using Lite please add AMS as a non steam game.

How Do I Connect to the Server?
Open the ingame server browser via the Multiplayer tab and connect to IP: 188.40.120.188 You might get kicked the first time you join or get a Join Time out, just reconnect and it works
Restart Procedure
Race will be restarted if needed. But probably not
Rules
Practice: 24/7 just join the server
Quali: 8 minutes unlimited laps
Race format: 3 Races x 15 minus w/ Reverse Grid
Don't drive like an idiot, and pay attention to the flags.
Don't flip Marko Tulska. Unless it's Flip Marko Tulska Day or if flipping him would be really funny.
Track Limits
Feel free to run wide on corner exit, just expect to be called a faggot and insulted in public especially if you wreck someone because of it.
No cutting that gives you any track advantage. If you have to cut because of an accident please slow down after appropriately without causing further incidents.
Skins Guideline
Download the skin template on the doc.
Copy an existing VEH file to use for your skin.
Example Automobilista\GameData\Vehicles\Caterham\360R\Teams\Team1\Caterham_360_01_SEQ.veh or Caterham_360_01_STD.veh for H Shifter
Now make a new folder in Automobilista\GameData\Vehicles\Caterham\360R\Team you can name it whatever you want, paste your skin and veh file in here
In your .veh file: ("QUOTATION" MARKS ARE NEEDED FOR ANY LINE YOU ENTER)
Set your Default Livery= line to [the name of your .dds].dds
Set your Team= line to Team="[yourname or yourteamname reccomended for neater sorting]"
Set your Driver= line to Driver="[your name is recommended for neater sorting]"
Set your FullTeamName= line to FullTeamName="[whatever you put in the Team= line]"
Set your Category= line to Category="Caterham, Superlight Sequential" or Category="Caterham, Superlight Standard"
Please .zip your folder before emailing them.
Skin submission deadline is 24 hours before the start of OVGCaterham. Skins can be sent to the e-mail listed on the Google Doc

- Presence on Mumble is not mandatory, but highly encouraged.
