ReDriver 2

ReDriver 2 is a native PC recompilation of of the PSX game Driver 2: Back on the Streets, extended with PC features such as HD resolutions, mods, and online multiplayer.

Getting Started

Installing the game

1. Get a copy of Driver 2 in ISO or BIN/CUE format. It must be the English version of the game but either the original release or the updated 1.1 Platinum release are fine.
2. Download the latest version of ReDriver2
3. Extract REDRIVER2_Win32_Release.zip to the folder you want to install the game.
4. Run Launcher.exe
5. Click "Setup Wizard" and follow the on-screen instructions, making sure you point it toward your 2 Driver 2 disc images.
6. Launch game

Getting Online

1. Download the custom online EXE from here.
2. Copy it into your ReDriver 2 directory, overwriting the original REDRIVER2.exe
3. Launch the game
4. In the main menu, select Multiplayer > Online
5. Enter a username (Note the master server is monitored so behave yourselves.)
6. Select a server from the "Join" menu, when in-game use T to chat.

Game Modes

Large Take a Ride

Online free roam in any of the game's 4 cities, enter/exiting cars, NPC traffic and cops are available. Use F8 to teleport and the pause menu to switch cars.

Take a Ride

Free roam based on the 2 player split screen mode, features smaller maps. Cheats such as invincibility and mini cars are available.

Survival

AI Cops

Move fast or suffer the consequences. All players work together to survive against NPC police for as long as possible.

Player Cops

One player is randomly selected as the escapee, other players must work together as cops to take them down as quickly as possible. A "Cop Buff" option is available, which allows cop players to have the Survival AI cop behaviours.

Cops 'n' Robbers

This mode currently WIP, traffic has difficulty syncing
Similar to player cop survival, however if cops fall 0.5mi behind the escapee they are eliminated, the escapee wins by eliminating all the cops.

Capture the Flag

Pick up the flag and return it to your base. Flags can be stolen from other player while they try to return it to their base. Most returned flags wins.

Mountain Pass

Race along the tight mountain road in Rio, 3 laps, fastest time wins. Player collisions can be enabled or disabled.

Race Track

Race along the race horse course in Rio, 3 laps, fastest time wins. Player collisions can be enabled or disabled.
